Sean Paul, Shaggy and Tinie Tempah to headline Dubai 7s
British rapper Tinie Tempah has been confirmed as one of the headline music acts for this year’s Emirates Dubai 7s, which runs from November 28-30 at The Sevens Stadium.
Organisers announced that Tempah, Sean Paul, Shaggy and DJ EZ will perform across the three-day event, which combines international rugby sevens with netball, cricket, fitness and a festival-scale entertainment programme.
On Saturday November 29, Tinie Tempah will top the bill on the Beats on 2 stage, with Sean Paul and Shaggy set for the Frequency on 8 stage. DJ EZ will then headline Beats on 2 on Sunday November 30, while the closing act for Frequency on 8 is still to be announced.
Festival Director Mathew Tait said: “We’re thrilled to announce four huge stars – Tinie Tempah, Sean Paul, Shaggy and DJ EZ – for this year’s Emirates Dubai 7s.
“These legendary performers have shaped the soundtrack of a generation, and their energy perfectly aligns with the party atmosphere our festival has become renowned for over the years.
“With the festival’s final act to be confirmed in the coming weeks, fans can look forward to an unforgettable line-up of world-class talent across three fantastic days of sport and entertainment.”
Tinie Tempah, best known for chart-toppers including Written in the Stars and Pass Out, has secured seven UK number one singles and three top 10 albums, alongside Brit and MOBO Award success. Sean Paul, Shaggy and DJ EZ bring further international appeal with hits spanning dancehall, reggae and UK garage.
