South Africa play continually in both hemispheres and they have been playing since the beginning of the year, which is why they rotate so many players: TRC—>URC—>November Tests.

There is no proper off-season for most of them, but they do not make excuses.

That is off the mark, I would respectfully put to you, Ed. All four provinces have academies, with good coaching. A big factor in Leinster’s success is the superiority of the Dublin and Kildare schools, with one outlier, Cistercian College, Roscrea. Munster and Connacht have far smaller populations than either Ulster or Leinster, and thus much lower school numbers. Ulster is a puzzle to me, with the schools not producing strong players as in the past. But that will, I hope change, with a cycle of better players coming through.

For more than a century, not many brown people did the haka for the ABs at all - so I’d calm down there.

When I’m feeling blue - I like to watch the haka from the 70s. Looks like my grandad and his pals doing the Hokey Pokey after a few pints.

Same reason as Preston/Fakatava are playing and Christie is not etc

Fihaki forgot to open the door after coming off the plane. Now he’s waiting for his face to bounce back he’s not going to be seen anywhere again till next year.

Clarke only small concussion, back next week (even more reason to just give him 20min bench for one game, Clarke back for Wales).

Who did LF replace, Narawa? He has obviously jumped Rieko (now that his loyalty is raised back up) and Proctor, so it is still those two above Rieko. Extra flexible compared to Narawa for sure.
