In September, John Mitchell’s 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup winners will host 2029 tournament hosts Australia, Women’s Rugby World Cup runners-up Canada and six-time world champions New Zealand in three regions across England.

The Wallaroos will be hosted in Salford at Sale Sharks’ CorpAcq Stadium on Saturday 12 September.

Amy Cokayne, Red Roses and Sale Sharks hooker, said: “Since moving to Sale, I’ve really seen how deeply rooted women’s rugby is in the community; they absolutely love it.

“Our Red Roses matches in the north always have an incredible atmosphere with a lively crowd, and it’s fantastic that the North West will get the chance to host and experience one of our games.”

Sandy Park will be the venue for a repeat of last year’s Women’s Rugby World Cup final ahead of the Black Ferns coming to London and Allianz Stadium.

Maddie Feaunati, England and Exeter back row, said: “As seen by games at Sandy Park during the World Cup and PWR, the Devon community really loves and gets behind women’s rugby.

“The Red Roses thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere when we come down to Exeter, and we can’t wait for another head-to-head with one of the best teams in the world.”

Megan Jones, Red Roses captain, said: “We embrace these massive occasions and there is not a lot better than a Red Roses v Black Ferns fixture. It is always an incredible feeling to play against them but playing them at Allianz Stadium heightens that excitement even more.”

The WXV Global Series will feature the top 18 national teams in women’s rugby. It will see teams compete home and away in a cross-regional touring model. Fixtures will take place within an eight week global window between September and October.
