Australia would have benefited more from having JAS at center, that’s not to say Hunter was poor, he did a good job, but they missed a lot with JAS not getting hands on the ball. Imagine if they had two firing midfielders and another wing. When does Marky Mark become available?

Great strategy from the new coaching team to utilize a lot of their strengths though, even improved from the Lions series.

On Paper Rassie would have expected his 23 to do far better than they did. Just shows how important cohesion is in a team. Hats off to Kiss and the Wallabies for attaching the Springboks in all the right places.

Until we get a few more first rank options in key roles it’s going to be uncertain. But the fact we are close to that now is giving us the ability to win consistently. The run down for this year will tell us much about depth.

The player group under Rennie is the core of this group. It’s taken a while to get the depth but they’ve been showing the potential for that long. Joe worked on the skills and you can see it baked in. All three have fostered new players for depth. Now it’s showing. It’s a credit to all three and seems that Kiss is the ideal mentor for this maturing group.

Agree and as per NBs latest article - cohesion really important - with all the moving chairs on the AB deck - that was lost from NC and through the GR. And the risk is that the Aussies are primed for Eden Park while we are still trying to work out out best 1-8.

They were unplayable last autumn. Absolute peak and a higher standard than their last 2 RWCs. Perfect blend of age and youth breaking through

The next block of NC games will tell it or not but there is a nagging feeling they are a little off it and 5-10% is dangerous at the top level

Bell was a beast on Saturday, everytime he touched the ball he made metres and on defence and in the scrum he was rock solid. You could see when he left the field that he was absolutely spent.

Nasser has impressed me this year so far, For some reason I have never really been a fan of him in super rugby but he seems to be pretty solid when he puts a Wallaby jersey on.

Like the idea of moving Jordie back to deal with the aerial game. But were you referring to Jordan? Agree he has the natural skills to compete. If Love was fit would have him back there too. When Clarke fit thats a handy aerial squad.

Donaldson was very wonky in the beginning, but the rest of the team picked him up. I wish someone could help him with his mental game. He has a lot of skill but really seems to struggle in international rugby.
