World Rugby, USA Rugby and TEG Rugby Live announced on Wednesday that the state-of-the-art Sports Illustrated Stadium will host the USA leg of the SVNS Series on March 14-15, 2026.

This announcement completes the season schedule for the 2025/26 SVNS 1, which starts in just over a week at Dubai’s The Sevens Stadium on November 29-30. Cape Town will host the other event before the New Year, before Singapore, Perth, Vancouver and New York.

Sports Illustrated Stadium is the home of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls and National Women’s Soccer League’s Gotham FC. Olympic athletes will showcase their skill and speed, as another major rugby event heads to the United States of America.

“We just found out yesterday, all the boys were pumped,” Roache told RugbyPass at Rugby Australia on Thursday.

“Most of us haven’t been to New York so pretty keen to go see what they’ve got going on over there.

“You see all the reels on Instagram, it seems like an unreal place so we’re definitely keen to get over there, put on a show. It should be fun.”

Olympic medallists the USA and Canada are two of the eight women’s teams set to compete in the top division. New Zealand and Australia met in the winner-takes-all World Championship final last season, and they’ve both named strong squads ahead of the new campaign.

“For all of us, we get to travel to different countries and different states so it’ll be pretty cool to go somewhere new.”

“I’m speechless! New York and sevens are the same… fast-paced, intense, and everyone brings their own style. As a NYC native, getting to see this happen feels unreal,” USA Women’s Sevens Eagle and New Yorker, Su Adegoke, explained in a statement.

“I would have never seen this coming! My dream was to make it onto an SVNS Series stop, and now the SVNS Series stop is coming to me.

“Fans should be excited to experience the city that never sleeps! The late-night chopped cheese, street and subway performers, pizza, Times Square, the nightlife, and especially the bodegas!”
