The 6’6, 19-stone loose forward will arrive on Tyneside in time for the start of next season, after penning a two-year deal with the cashed-up northern outfit.

Jordan, 26, has played more than 70 games in his four and a half seasons with the Cherry and Whites, having come through Leicester Tigers’ academy.

A former England U18 international, the Oakham School graduate insists he is delighted to be joining the Red Bulls’ revolution, saying: “Red Bull are an organisation with a proven track record for success in any sport they are involved with.

“The ambition for the future of Newcastle Red Bulls is very exciting, and something I’m looking forward to being a part of.”

Newcastle Red Bulls’ sporting general manager Neil McIlroy added: “Cam is a big, physical lock who will help add go-forward and set-piece ability to our squad.

“He has a lot of Gallagher PREM experience, he’s at a good age and he will be an important part of that engine room aiming to get us on the front foot.”
