This year the ABs have tried to use a Leinster styled Lancaster attack system, sweeping plays designed to do I don’t know what, and it’s hindered them severely. It’s not where near as sophisticated, not even copy pasted, it’s some weird inbetween mix of their own and it’s a joke how easy it is to read for opposition.

Sure they did JW, Scott Hansen is the MAN!🤣🙃

Argentina put 25 on them I think and England looked in trouble at the end of the game. I did not see the game so cannot comment on D - but thats a fair few points.

Yeah the ABs looked liked they kept trying the same things over and over and England obliged with double tackles etc - which was frustrating to watch.

Not really, the situation was clear from June last year when Galthié spoke about it.

There was not much of this noise when they toured Argentina last year and ultimately the players need to have a rest at some time.

SA do have too many old players, not enough young players, and none of the newcomers have enough test experience! I keep underestimating the sheer genius of Rassie. Maybe he’ll keep squeezing water from a stone. Who knows!

If you read my comment you’ll not that I didn’t actually predict that SA would decline significantly in 2026, so I am bringing some new ideas to the table. Do you agree or disagree with what I did say?

If you’re making the margin the topic, the 14 point margin was because they are inept on attack and gave up a try when they struggled to get the game within winning (3 points in the last 5-10) margin.

I was more referring to how the game panned out in general, not the last 5-10. But it certainly was indicative of where they have been especially poor this year.

More like you need to watch every NZ game, they are a very uncontentional team now and didn’t look the bussiness for much of the victories this year.

I don’t think England would have recovered from a 3 or 4 score deficit, against 15men, which is where that game was heading.

Sotutu was named the Super Rugby Pacific player of the year in 2024, before being overlooked by Robertson

Such a shame Ardie wasn’t moved to openside that year, or that Cane was asked to continue after the WC. A Sititi Sotutu Ardie trio would have been fire in 2024.

I doubt that’s the case. I mean it was a fun run but I don’t think he’s anywhere near Wallaby level. I suspect he wants to return and is trying to shop around to see if any team will have him (they only have four and he will want/need a starting role).

I was reading about NDC the other day, someone who had some really dynamic games in Super this year, and he was thought to have been one of the best loosies in the Top 14 before returning. Just like Mercer it would seem. Kemeny is better off staying in the Prem and hoping he can get included that way.
