Cardiff have announced their list of 11 departing players at the end of the season, which is headlined by retiring Welsh and British & Irish Lions legend Leigh Halfpenny.

The former Wales full-back announced his retirement earlier this month, with Corey Domachowski’s move to the Scarlets, Ben Donnell’s Ulster transfer and Ed Byrne’s midseason return to Leinster already announced.

The exits of academy product Will Davies-King and fly-half Rory Jennings have also been announced, with the prop joining England’s Champ Rugby and Jennings returning to England, though his destination is not specified.

Ioan Emanuel and Ieuan Davies will also return to Bath following their season-long loans, while Mackenzie Martin, who has spent the season on loan at the Dragons, has reached the end of his contract in the Welsh capital.

The list of departees is completed by Dylan Barratt, Ollie Das, Joseff Jones and Harrison Rock, who have all left the Cardiff academy.

“We would like to thank all of the departing players for their efforts in Blue & Black and wish them the very best for the next chapter in their careers,” said Cardiff head coach Corniel van Zyl.

“Will and Rory are the latest to be confirmed and both can be very proud of their time at the Arms Park.

“For Will he is someone who has come through the system here and given his all over a long period. He has made more than 75 appearances across the firsts and Rags, and always given his all.

“Rory came in two seasons ago and has done a great job, providing some more experience in our midfield. He has been an important player for us. He is a great influence within the group and helped develop the younger generation players. He understands the game very well and has enjoyed some good performance on pitch while also offered so much off pitch.

“All six will always be welcome back at the Arms Park and we look forward to seeing what comes next for them.”
