Harlequins have announced the retention of back three trio Lauren Torley, Katie Shillaker and Grace Crompton ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Shillaker, 22, is a graduate of the club’s Centre of Excellence and was a key member of the club’s run to PWR Cup final earlier this season. This season the wing has been a co-captain of Great Britain Sevens on the HSBC SVNS Series.

Shillaker said: “I’m excited to be wearing the Quarters again next season. This is a special Club that means a lot to me. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop and learn in the environment and excited for what next season holds.”

Torley, 26, has made 33 appearances for the West London club. 13 of those appearances have come this season in Premiership Women’s Rugby and PWR Cup, and scored seven tries this term.

Torley said: “Harlequins has been a home for me throughout my rugby journey. I love the people, the club, and I genuinely can’t think of a better place to continue this journey.

“We’ve got a special group here, and as this team continues to grow, I truly believe there’s a lot of success ahead next season and beyond. I’m excited to be part of that journey and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

Crompton, 24, joined Harlequins from Bristol Bears in 2024. Earlier this season the wing recovered from a long-term injury and returned to the SVNS Series with Great Britain.

Crompton said: “I’m super excited to be sticking around at Harlequins. This Club has always allowed me to enjoy every part of the game, representing GB 7s alongside club rugby.

“Being able to value and grow in both forms of the game means a lot to me. Harlequins is my local club and one with so much history, and I’m proud to continue wearing the shirt and representing this team in front of our amazing supporters.”

Ross Chisholm, Harlequins head coach, said: “It’s great to have three young, talented back-three players commit to the Club for next season. We’ve seen how they’ve all developed throughout the season and, during the PWR Cup where Katie and Lauren were important parts of the side that made the final.

“Grace has recovered well from a serious injury and alongside Katie and Lauren, has been an important player for GB Sevens this season. We’re looking forward to all three players being back in the Quins environment and putting in performances in the Quarters.”
