Kévin Rouet’s Canada can reclaim second in the World Rugby rankings if they end England’s 39-match winning run in Exeter.
The second weekend of WXV Global Series action sees a repeat of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 final take place at Sandy Park. The North Americans will retake second from the Black Ferns, who would also have to lose to Scotland in this scenario.
John Mitchell’s England can improve their rating for the first time this year with a victory of 15 points or more against Canada. A win by that margin will see the world champions improve by a maximum of 0.25. It will be the highest any England team has ever been rated should their overall rating reach 98.34.

The Black Ferns cannot improve their ranking with a win against Scotland. The same goes for France, who face the Wallaroos in Aix-en-Provence.
In contrast, Australia can jump three places, from ninth to sixth, with a win by more than 15 points against the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations runners-up. To do so, the USA Women’s Eagles would also have to upset Ireland by the same margin in Dublin.
Scotland can climb from seventh to sixth, ahead of Italy, if they beat New Zealand for the first time. Ireland cannot improve on their fifth-place ranking with a win against the Eagles, although the USA can move up two places with a win.
Should Wales beat the Springbok Women, Sean Lynn’s team can climb by at least one place, regardless of Fiji’s result in the WXV Global Series Challenger.
If the Springbok Women win on Friday night at Cardiff Arms Park, they can reach a new high of ninth — but only if the team is victorious by 15 points or more.

Fijiana can drop two places, from 12th to 14th, should they lose to Hong Kong China by 15 points or more this weekend and Spain beat Samoa by the same margin.
Hong Kong China can match their all-time high of 15th with victory against Willie Walker’s Fijiana.
Brazil can claim a new high of 22nd in the standings if they beat the Netherlands on Saturday at Kai Tak Youth Sports Ground. The Oranje cannot improve their ranking against *As Yaras*.
Samoa can return to 15th should they beat Spain and Fiji overcome Hong Kong China. Last time out, Manusina lost 70-0 to the Netherlands in Fuimaono Bella Milo’s first game as head coach.
