The Wallaby backrow will continue his recuperation after being ruled out of the Jaguares fixture.

Hooker Josh Mann-Rea has also returned home from tour after suffering significant damage to his left knee during the 19-17 victory over the Stormers at Newlands in Cape Town.

Connal McInerney has been called up into the squad and will meet the team in Buenos Aires for the second tour match which is due to take place next Sunday morning, Australian time, against the Jaguares at Estadio Jose Amalfitani, Velez Sarsfeld.

“The club are unavailable for further comment on either of these matters at this time due to being in transit.”

Pocock had travelled on the Brumbies’ tour of South Africa and Argentina and was an outside chance to feature in their first game against the Stormers.

Pocock has played in three games and missed five so far this season, with concussion accounting for one of his omissions.

Concerns are mounting for the star backrow, who is a lynchpin of both the Brumbies squad and Michael Cheika’s Wallabies.
