Bulls beat the Lions with brilliant second-half display

The Bulls produced a dominant second-half performance to secure a 37-22 victory over the Lions in their United Rugby Championship derby at Emirates Airline Park.

The Lions led 11-10 at half-time thanks to a try from Henco van Wyk and two penalties from Sam Francis, with the Bulls scoring through David Kriel’s touchdown and Boeta Chamberlain’s conversion and penalty.

However, second-half tries from Cobus Wiese, Marcell Coetzee and Akker van der Merwe helped turn the game in the Bulls’ favour.
