Not to name any names, but a couple of years ago a famous international outside back chanced his arm in the NFL. It was a silly self-sabotage, doomed to fail, but RP still found it necessary to print dozens of NFL-related articles. I disliked that very much.

Considering the NZ sides where always tougher and harder than the SA ones, at least the last decade, I’m not sure I can agree with that.

I would say that I haven’t noticed any change in the NZ sides since SA left, but that would be a lie. The COVID imposed NZ derbies brought a brutality week in week out that I had not seen before. Perhaps that has changed in the last couple of years?

Very kind rating towards SFM. Poor game unfortunately yet again. Although better than the previous two games. Lacks control that Pollard exerts on a game. Goes for drop kick when NZ defence in trouble and Springboks on attack… missed. Goes for 50/22 just inside his half when under no pressure and Springboks on the attack and NZ defence scrambling… kicks ball out on the full. Relieved the pressure completely instead of continuing the pressure and being a bit patient. Springboks look much better the more games that they play together. My condolences in advance to some of the reporters that have been writing biased, false and misleading articles about the Boks, on this site, since the RGR tour began. Ps. I believe SFM will eventually become a great player but at the moment he is inconsistent and unreliable in big games.

Congratulations on the series win Springboks, you are a better team than in 24’.

From an All Black perspective and all considered I think they were the better team in the series, but if they’re to overcome the vagaries of test match footy and ensure the Webb Ellis is brought home to New Zealand next year, they will need to be better.

I guess the question you have to ask - is this the softest All Black Pack in history?

Games like this, really shows that Super Rugby is not preparing our players for Test Rugby, Super Rugby is all about ball movement and scrums/lineouts all about re-starting the game.

France v Black Ferns talking points: France struggle to find rhythm in WXV opener

Well played NZ! Another top tier performance against France. Lots of dominance in all areas of the game and consistently pushed France backwards the whole game. Scoreline could’ve been much bigger given NZ’s efforts.

France are sliding downwards big time and NZ have improved. France were vastly better than NZ a year or two ago.
