We already have that every year Toko man.


I don’t really feel your NZ v Aus Table idea, that’s not what it’s about. It’s not about us v them, it’s about both teams being able to celebrate together, fans share stories etc.


If there is some desire for that type of concept, I’d be inclined to think it would be better to ahve a host city/stadia for the weekend, and fans pick/vote for an anzac team, and the country with the most selections can celebrate harder and take the kudos that year.

I took his comment to mean babying for any All Black, regardless of position.


In saying that, wingers in international rugby need to be much more proficient under the high ball and on D than in SR so I don’t necessarily agree with your comment.

Not for a outside back it’s not. It’s one of the rare positions were all the All Blacks really need you to do is finish/create scoring tries, true, but it is 3/4 positions out of 23.


Isn’t he 25 though? As far as any important measure stands? That’s really what I’m disappointed in never seeing'/knowing what eventuates lol

The only good wingers in the country and Caleb and .. young players like Tyrone and Caleb, Leroy, I think it’s a situation that is the complete opposite of having a plethora of excellent wingers around!

I think we have plenty of 12s and 8’s to lose, and when you say 4, losing Patrick would be less of a concern for me than loosing Mark.


The think with Mark is we’ve had it shared the fallout between Razor and MacDonald was over Razor overstepping his grounds in his preference for Reece over Tele’a. Now I wouldn’t normally be to perturbed by this, but we have a unique situation were Reece is the picture of a guy who’s not going to be able to keep his standards up, and Tele’a epitomizes effortlessness, and has only been in this game for 4-5 years, so are we really keeping a 30yo and throwing away a 23 yo?

I think they ramped up back to normal by the end of the season SC. It was a very different Blues campaign for him, and as much as people croon on about diversity in styles amongst the sides is best, it makes it much harder for the players to just jump right into a different team.


More of a choice over wingers than were to save a buck for me.

I doubt very much whether the coach has anything to do with it. I don’t follow the girls enough to go that deep, to me, on the surface, the difference is what I’d expect from what I’d imagine would be around a 20 million difference in expense been the Black Ferns and other countries with government funding.


Being critical of NZR for that is only making the real problem worse.

Te’lea was arguably the best wing in the world in 2022 and 2023. But he noticeably lost a step of pace in 2024 during the international season. He showed his class every once in awhile, like the try in November vs England, but those moments of class became far less often than in 2022 and 2023.


NZR simply can’t break the bank for a wing. The money needs to be saved for 10s, locks, and props- positions that NZ has less depth at.

Agree but she played last thursday in the Blues v Tahs game and had announced this would be her last season. She does have a contract with WR as an ambassadore for the sport I believe.
