Azzurri star Tomasso Allan to play his club rugby in Italy next season

Azzurri full-back/fly-half Tommaso Allan has signed for Zebre for the 2026/27 season in what club president Giovanni Fava has hailed as “a significant step” for the Italian outfit.

Allan, who is Italy’s second-highest points scorer behind Diego Dominguez and the joint-third-most capped back with 89 Test appearances to his name, will move to Parma from Perpignan in the summer.

The former Scotland U20 international is in his second spell with Perpignan, having played at Benetton and Harlequins in between.

“I’m truly excited to begin this new chapter with Zebre,” said Allan, who turns 33 in a couple of days time.

“My family and I had a strong desire to return to Italy, and I couldn’t have hoped for a better opportunity.

“Zebre have a project that immediately convinced me: a group with many highly talented young Italians and a clear vision for the future.

“I want to put my experience to work for the team, help the boys grow, and contribute to taking the club to new heights. I’m ready to give it my all.”

Meanwhile, Fava is delighted to have landed the sigtnature of Allan, Italy’s record World Cup points scorer. “Allan’s signing represents a significant step in Zebre Parma’s development,” he said.
