When he first walked into a rugby press box, Simnikiwe Xabanisa's colleagues laughed at him because he looked like an extra from Cool Runnings. It didn't help that he also wrote the game like an extra from the movie. Since that false start, Sim – a Johannesburg-based freelancer – has since covered the game for numerous publications including the Sunday Times (SA), the City Press, SA Rugby Magazine and All Out Rugby.
