Taylor Perry Bio

Taylor Perry was born in Oakville, Ontario on 23 July 2000. She attended Queen’s University and took to rugby at a young age. In fact, she played for Canada at youth level and even won a bronze medal at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games.

From here, her career really took off. She represented Exeter Chiefs in 2020, playing 14 times for the club at fly-half as she truly allowed her talents to shine.

Partially due to her successes with Exeter, she was then named in the Canada squad for the delayed 2021 Rugby World Cup. Sadly though, she was ruled out of the competition after suffering a serious knee injury.

Not to be deterred, she made a full recovery and was selected as a travelling reserve for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. During the tournament, she was drafted into the full squad and ultimately won a silver medal with the Canada sevens team.

Since then, she’s returned to the XV-a-side game. She re-signed with Exeter Chiefs in 2024 and was then named in Canada’s squad for the 2025 Pacific Four Series. Following this, she was named in Canada’s squad for the 2025 Rugby World Cup.

At the Rugby World Cup, she helped steer Canada from fly-half all the way to the final against England. Although Canada came up short at the last hurdle, Perry’s playmaking skills were displayed on rugby’s biggest stage.

Taylor Perry’s career is certainly going from strength to strength. We can’t wait to see what she does next.
