World Rugby unveils 29 Outdoor Training Venues for 2027 Rugby World Cup

World Rugby has today confirmed the 29 Outdoor Training Venues that will be used by the 24 participating teams during Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia, with representatives from reigning champions the Springboks attending the announcement on Friday morning.

2023 Rugby World Cup winners Ox Nche, Damian Willemse, Manie Libbok and other Springboks players and staff participated in a coaching clinic with 40 children in Perth, almost one year out from the sport’s showpiece event.

Perth/Boorloo is one of next year’s seven host cities, which will also have four state-of-the-art training facilities. These facilities expand the footprint of the World Cup beyond match days, with local communities able to watch the world’s best at some open training sessions.

It’s another significant milestone ahead of the tournament’s 11^th edition, which kicks off in exactly one year from next Thursday. The Wallabies host World Cup debutants Hong Kong China at Perth Stadium on October 1, 2027, before the All Blacks play Chile the following day.

As teams move across Australia in line with the match schedule, world-class gyms, pools and indoor training venues will be available. UWA Rugby Club, Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex, Waterbank Training Facility and Perth Rectangular Stadium will be available for use in Perth.

UWA Rugby Club is one of the leading sports facilities in Australia. Melbourne, Townsville and Newcastle have three Outdoor Training Venues each, Adelaide has four, and there are six venues in both Sydney and Brisbane.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 tickets in a 48-hour Visa Priority Ticket sale from midday AEST on September 28 to 30, before remaining tickets go on sale on October 1 – one year before the World Cup opener.
