Next Saturday the two teams will meet at Loftus Versfeld for a winner-takes-all clash. It will be Boland’s first ever appearance in a top tier provincial decider.

The Daisies were in a typically dominant mood in Pretoria as the side nearly racked up another century of points. In total the side crossed the whitewash on 16 occasions over the course of 80 minutes to beat the Golden Lions Women 95-5.

This included a quartet of tries for Thobile Msizazwe and braces for Camelitha Malone and Shaunique Alexander. Zintle Mpupha, Doreen Mkhabela, Faith Tshauke, Sizophila Solontsi, Vainah Ubisi, Lebogang Ralebona, Naima Hlatshwayo and Xolelwa Diliza were also try scorers in the fixture.

To lock up second place and a trip to the Highveld next weekend, Boland beat Sharks Women 32-22 in Durban on Friday night.

It was a contest in which the visitors had to dig deep against a Sharks team that have played with increasing confidence with each passing weekend.

Aseza Hele registered her sixth try of the season in the victory and Rufaro Tagarira crossed the whitewash twice in the attritional affair.

East London’s Police Park was the venue of Free State Women’s 41-24 win over Border Ladies. At the break the scores were level at 17-all as little could separate the two teams.

It was Free State’s second half dominance which handed them another five points and seventh-place in the overall standings.

The weekend’s final game saw Western Province beat the EP Queens 42-17 at Otto du Plessis High School.

Anelisiwe Mxabo was Western Province’s undisputed star and scored a hat-trick in a powerful display from the flanker.

There were also tries for the visitors’ Sinazo Mcatshulwa, Raeeqah Hendricks, Alichia Arries, Logan Welman and Faith Gosling in the clash.
