Steelers look to upset Wild Knights

Japan Rugby League One leaders Wild Knights host the fifth-placed Steelers at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium on Sunday as the regular season heads into its second half.

The Steelers rejuvenated their play-off hopes with a 63-21 victory against Toyota Verblitz at Hanazono Rugby Stadium last weekend.

Captain Brodie Retallick scored one of his side’s nine tries in a win that lifted them up to fifth in the table and to the head of the queue of teams hoping to crash the top four.

Sunday’s assignment in Saitama represents a real test for Dave Rennie’s side but a victory would provide a shot in the arm for their post-season hopes.

The unbeaten Wild Knights secured their eighth win of the season with a routine 39-10 win against Mitsubishi Sagamihara Dynaboars at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium last Saturday.

Ryuji Noguchi twice crossed the whitewash, while winger Koki Takeyumi scored 12 points as the hosts maintained their place at the top of the standings.

Wild Knights hold a five-point cushion over second-place Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo heading into round 10, with Sunday’s visitors 10 further back.

However, despite the gap between the sides in the standings, there will be keenly contested battles all over the pitch in Saitama.

Race for SVNS starts in Cape Town

Canada and Samoa will begin their bid for an immediate return to HSBC SVNS when the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Challenger 2025 gets underway in Cape Town this weekend.

Samoa – one of only five teams to win the World Series title before it was rebranded for the 2024 season – suffered relegation in Madrid last June, losing a play-off against hosts Spain.

Canada were beaten by arch rivals USA at the same stage and both nations will be determined to play their way back onto the top table.

But they won’t be the only teams with a point to prove. Chile missed out on a place on this year’s SVNS circuit in agonising fashion, losing 12-10 to South American neighbours Uruguay in Madrid.

Japan are another team with SVNS ambitions, while Tonga, Hong Kong China, Madagascar, Uganda, Brazil, Portugal, Germany and Georgia will join them on the start line at Athlone Stadium.

Cape Town will play host to the first two rounds of the Challenger across the next fortnight with the top eight teams in the standings at the end of the second of those qualifying for the third tournament in Krakow in April.

The top four teams in the standings at the end of the tournament in Poland will then guarantee their passage to the HSBC SVNS Play Off in Los Angeles between May 3-4.

For now, though, the focus can only be on this weekend’s opening round in Cape Town and RugbyPass TV is streaming both matchdays live and for free, except in Canada and South Africa.

In Dec, 2021, I invested the sum of 19.78 BTC with a fake blockchain impostor I met online, all the money I had saved up since 2014 got stolen just within a Month, my whole life almost crumbled, to crown it all my FICO score was so bad that I couldn't even afford securing a loan to help my kids, but everything became better after I joined a forum online where I met people testifying about, a hacker who has been helping thousands of people all over the world. I decided to reach out to him via the following contact shared on the platform // jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com or WhatsApp +31622647750., they responded and requested for all necessary information needed to aid my JOB, to my greatest surprise my bitcoin was recovered and my credit report fixed, FICO score was boosted to 783 across all 3-credit bureau's, all negative items cleared just within 8 days. I can't stop expressing my profound gratitude to this great team of hackers, I strongly recommend them to anyone in need.jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com or WhatsApp +31657446248..

A Sandwich Attack Was Used to Wipe Out My Crypto Transaction Of $389,000.

I was swapping in between my stablecoins when I lost $389,000. I was confused and didn’t know how that could happen, I just lost all my crypto and I’m traumatized.

A few days later, a tech guy from my firm contacted a crypto recovery expert Morphohack Cyber Service, who was able to detect that a malicious bot called MEV(Maximum Extractable Value) detected my transaction and front ran it before my transaction was processed. The bot's actions made me lose almost 99% of my funds and stole $389,000. Fortunately for me, Morphohack Cyber Service was able to trace this transaction and retrieve it successfully without any delay while applying its sophisticated software and malware techniques. It seems we have to be up to date with market news and stay alert always. Morphohack can be contacted via the following link: MORPHOHACK@CYBERSERVICES.COM (Whats App:+12136724092)

Hello, I'm Jack Frampton from San Antonio, Texas. I want to share my story of how I fell victim to a crypto Ponzi scheme when I came across a phony website pretending to be a genuine crypto exchange, I never knew they created a fake exchange page where their victims deposit cryptos in the hope of their huge profits unknowingly that they were being conned. Morphohack Cyber Service made me realize that I was a victim of these scams after I contacted them when this same exchange website refused to let me withdraw my crypto funds. I was devastated and contacted Morphohack Cyber Service who was able to recover my crypto funds and told me about this scam. I would advise people out there to be more careful and do their due diligence before investing in crypto. Morphohack Cyber Services can be reached via (Morphohack@cyberservices.com & WhatsApp+12136724092)

I lost 200K after I was deceived into buying fake ICOs by a forex trader and it turned out I was being manipulated into buying nonexistent coins.

I would advise everyone who intends to go into crypto trading to be wary and avoid these people who pretend to know it all and claim to be forex managers who are only out to steal from you. I’m grateful for the intervention of Morphohack Cyber Service, who was able to help me detect this was a Fake ICO and told me how they were creating these fake and worthless coins to convince their victims in other to steal from them, Morphohack Cyber Service was able to trace the crypto I sent to them to put into this platform, Morphohack retrieved my crypto funds and we reported the outcome of the investigation to the authorities. 'France may leave top players at home but will still be serious contenders in New Zealand'

The country turned septic on Foster for losing a series to what was arguably the best Irish side in history and one that may not have been ranked number one in the world when they arrived, but were by the time they left.

Imagine how feral the nation will be if Robertson’s All Blacks lose to what is supposedly going to be a French ‘B’ team?

This author proving he has less of an understanding of rugby than the general population.

The country was septic because of how easily they got beat Paul. The country is smart enough to rate the relative level of performances, and if Razors team goes backwards like Fosters the criticism you suggest might come will be fully deserved. If France B perform as good as France A and win by the same margins then those with the criticism the team should be winning every game will also be deserved. But the inference that the public didn’t give Ireland the credit they deserved couldn’t be further from the truth imo.

France have beaten the All Blacks on the last three occasions the two sides have met, and that the former has used 38 players in the process.

France could leave 40 players at home in July and still be a serious contender

And to the vibe of this article, it provides abosolutely zero reason to believe the next 38 best French are going to be as good as these first 38. Paul got one thing right, it’s no joke that France will be leaving behind 40 players.

France have a 45 man squad for 6N (well using Wiki), the team could be made up of these leftovers from the teams not likely to get close to Toulouse and Bordeaux, given that just the third place team is doing commendably well not to be in negative for and against like the rest.

One wouldn’t think Atonio is going to come (I’d be surprised if Fickou is still not rested or he and Le Garrec aren’t involved in a relegation playoff game) but a few good players there like Leo Barre, Le Garrec, Taofifénua, and that back row, but also a distinct lack of a spine with the 3 best playmakers playing in the Final at home.

What are the possibilities to fill out these missing spots? looking at Opta’s stats hub Serin and Couilloud provide good back up for Le Garrec by fact of having the highest try involvements in the Top14 (along with Michael Ruru). And Serin’s partner Herve looks the most threatening to carry on the teams style with his elusiveness?
