Wallabies player ratings vs Argentina | Flight Centre Series 2026

The Wallabies have made history in Argentina by going unbeaten in a Test series away to Los Pumas for the first time. Les Kiss is also yet to lose a match as Wallabies head coach, although the winning run ended with a 28-all draw in Mendoza.

Argentina went down to 13 men with a little over 10 minutes left, with the scores level and it all to play for. The Wallabies fought desperately as they searched for go-ahead points, but the home side did enough to hold on.

Here’s how the Wallabies rated in Mendoza.

1. Angus Bell – 7.5
Bell returned to the starting side after coming off the bench in Jujuy, and as always, the loosehead prop made an immense impact around the park. The front-rower had a game-high nine carries during the first-half, would go on to finish in double digits for tackles completed, and scrummed well. It was another monstrous shift from Bell, who will no doubt play a big role in upcoming Tests against the Springboks and All Blacks.

2. Billy Pollard – 6
It’d been more than 305 days since Pollard last wore the golden No. 2 jersey at Test level, but the front-rower got that opportunity in Mendoza. The lineout has become a strength of the Wallabies this season, and Pollard helped ensure that trend continued by hitting every target at the set-piece. Pollard was otherwise around mid-table for both total runs and tackles completed, but this was a performance that at the very least seemed to hit the pass mark.

3. Taniela Tupou – 5
Tupou scored three tries in two matches against Japan’s Brave Blossoms last month, but the tighthead was rotated out of the side last week. But after being named to return in the second Test, Tupou wasn’t able to make a similar impact. The front-rower conceded a scrum penalty in the sixth minute, and was fairly quiet around the park – seen walking on multiple occasions. It wasn’t all doom and gloom, though, having made some positive involvements at the breakdown and with limited carries.

4. Josh Canham – 7
Canham has become an essential part of the run-on side; someone who seemingly can’t or shouldn’t be moved out of the First XV. The USA-born Wallaby set the tone inside three minutes by winning a pilfer penalty, going on to enjoy another solid outing in Wallaby gold. Canham continues to step up at the set-piece, both as a reliable target in attack and a headache for the opposition in defence.

5. Jeremy Williams – 5
Williams was replaced at the one-hour mark, bringing a mixed performance to an end at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas. The lock was superb last weekend, but a yellow card proved a blemish on his most recent efforts. Williams put up some mid-table numbers in attack and defence, before coming off with the scores locked at 21-all.

6. Rob Valetini – 8
It’s actually quite remarkable how consistently ‘Bobby V’ seems to perform at a Player of the Match-calibre level. Valetini is almost always right up there with the best of the best, and the backrower’s most recent performance was no exception. The two-time John Eales Medal winner put up elite numbers on both sides of the ball, forcing a maul and then a turnover in the second-half, which stands out as a highlight in defence.

7. Fraser McReight – 9
McReight earned Player of the Match honours last weekend in Jujuy, and the flanker was right up there with the best yet again. The openside powered over for a crucial try early in the second half, which was the highlight of another masterful performance. McReight was the first to reach 20-plus tackles completed, got his hands on the ball plenty, and was strong at the breakdown.

8. Harry Wilson – 8
Wallabies skipper Wilson made a bit of a statement with this performance, returning to the matchday 23 after missing out last weekend. Wilson had been rotated out of the side, ad the three loose forwards who started all made their mark. But ‘Wilso’ was great back in Wallaby gold, crashing over for the first try of the Test in the 20^th minute. The captain was one of the very few who made at least 20 tackles, and was a workhorse with the ball-in-hand as well.

9. Ryan Lonergan – 6.5
Lonergan has quickly become the most important back in the Wallabies side. The No. 9 had a kick that ran dead in the ninth minute, and an attempted clearance was charged down early in the second half, but was otherwise quite good. Lonergan helped set the tempo with quick passing and decision-making, and even slotted in at fly-half in the dying stages of the match. It wasn’t a perfect performance, but an important one nonetheless.

10. Ben Donaldson – 7
Donaldson hadn’t started for the Wallabies in almost two years to the day, but the utility didn’t look out of place with the No. 10 on his back. ‘Dono’ showed some wheels with a significant line break 15 minutes in, seeming to grow in confidence on the back of that effort. The fly-half kicked a superb touch-finder later in the half, before setting up Max Jorgensen for a five-pointer before the break. Donaldson was replaced around the 55-minute mark, having done a lot more right than wrong.

11. Filipo Daugunu – 6
Daugunu couldn’t have started a rare start much worse, dropping the ball cold off the kick-off. The winger recorded an unfortunate knock-on a few minutes later, but was quite good from then on. Daugunu forced a knock-on with a big shot on Rodrigo Isgro in the 13^th minute, and got over the ball to win a decisive pilfer penalty early in the second term. The No. 11 was quiet at times, but can still take plenty of positives out of this performance.

12. Len Ikitau – 7
Back in the Wallabies side for the first time since the Nations Championship, Ikitau was good without being great. Ikitau is the glue for the Australian side in defence, doing the work that needs to be done time and time again; finishing with more tackles made than any other Wallabies back.

13. Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii – 5
Whether or not Suaalii should remain in the midfield is no doubt a talking point that will continue to persist during the months ahead. Suaalii was solid off the bench last week, but did go missing a bit in the second Test. ‘Su’ only ran the ball five times for 14 metres and finished with the second-least number of tackles out of the starting Wallabies backs.

14. Max Jorgensen – 7
Jorgensen works incredibly hard in a bid to get involved, and the winger was rewarded for those efforts with a try in the first half. ‘Jorgo’ ran the ball nine times overall, having made one line break as well, in what was another promising performance.

15. Tom Wright – 5
The three minutes before half-time didn’t go to plan for Wright, who went into the sheds with an equal game-high two turnovers lost. Wright had run the ball into touch while attempting a clearance, before giving away a penalty for a high shot. But it was a positive to see Wright seemingly more involved than in recent weeks, putting the ball on the toe multiple times and taking the line on as well.

Replacements – 7
Massimo De Lutiis was incredibly impactful off the bench, standing out with 16 tackles made in just 29 minutes of playing time. Charlie Cale won a pilfer penalty and Carter Gordon had some good involvements before coming off twice. The bench was once again a positive, but they couldn’t help the visitors claim a 2-0 series sweep.
