By RugbyPass

Racing 92 coach Ronan O’Gara has received a 10-week touchline ban and has been fined €15,000 it has been reported today.

The former Ireland and Munster 10 received the punishment after he was deemed to have made remarks to a Top14 official during a game.

The remarks apparently came after what O’Gara perceived as an incorrect decision during Racing 92’s 16-9 defeat to La Rochelle earlier in the month.

According to a report in the Irish Independent Racing scrum-half Teddy Iribaren was penalised for a no-arms tackle, a call that apparently angered the Munster man.

Head coach Laurent Labit is also currently serving a 15-week suspension for his post-match comments after the same game.

The ban does not apply to the Champions Cup and he will be present when they meet Munster in Thomond Park at the weekend.

O’Gara is not shy of expressing himself.
