I am an All Black fan. I am also Irish. And also an Irish fan.

These things can co-exist. I’m a huge fan of the sport and the Boks as a team and wouldn’t question any of their achievements across the last 2 years, now that they are fully in line with current WADA policies.

So you are really denying that Rennie has now twice come out with a narrative that he wants the refs to look at?

5 points is no hammering. If you want to call it a hammering because in your mind the Boks are so awesome that beating them by 5 points felt like a hammering, then I guess go for it. But a hammering is if you win by at least at two score margin, so 10 or probably more 15 points. Ireland “monstering the maul” is your opinion, there were players arguably on the wrong side among other things. But you can never really complain if you leave it behind in the last 5 minutes, that’s how it goes. It just didn’t quite work for the Boks that day, small margins. Luckily it was only a pool game not a play-off game when it really mattered.

Looking forward to the future there are two 2.06m, 128kg plus, giants coming through from u20. Botha is playing for Stade and Vermeulen is at the Sharks. So come 2031 Rassie has to get them in.

Words have meaning and it's important that you use the right words for the right context. Otherwise whatever you're saying either loses meaning or becomes nonsense. As it did in your case.

“…if you can admit that RENNIE and crew” is loaded and what you suggest is not a truth.

Plenty outside of the SA echo chambers would be not impressed by Rassie and his wilful abuse of the games values. I’m a Munster fan and couldn’t even stand him when he was our coach. You suggest only you have the ability to define/decide ‘real conversations’ -again, that’s loaded.

I don’t think he has played there much for the Boks. I asked the search engine and it came up with 2022 in Ireland (Boks lost 19-22) and world cup 23 against Japan. So not much sample size.

He is brave and good under the high ball, although of course not the tallest.
