Although the giant US Eagle’s Toulon contract runs until 2019, Wales Online are reporting that he is set to sign with the Cardiff Blues in what is a massive coup for the Welsh Region.

The 6’6, 122kg lock cum Number 8 was spotted in Wales this weekend, adding fuel to rumours that he will sign with the PRO14 side.

In recent weeks Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal have said he is prepared to allow the hulking forward to exit his contract a year early.

Nicknamed the ‘Bloc Monsta’, Manoa made 20 appearances for the US and is widely regarded as one of the best forwards the nation has ever produced.

Undoubtedly Manoa made his name at the Northampton Saints in the Premiership but he has struggled to reach those same heights for Toulon.
