Agree for the CC.

For Top14, there will be a problem with the second part of your idea. The home and away games is very important especially in french system. And with your solution, people in the stands and even more the treasurer should be concerned by not seeing Toulouse or Bordeaux every year, and maybe for more than two years. And I don't speak of Canal +…

In the spirit of the season I’ll let that one go through to the keeper. If you believe it then far be it from me to spoil your party. All I will say is this - Itoje wouldn’t get into the All Black team, he wouldn’t get into even a Springbok 2nd team and I think he’d find it hard to make any of the French, Irish or Argentine teams.

There is one thing I don’t understand, though, and that is why you have that silly selection policy that prevents you from picking Jack Willis. Now there’s a genuine world class player for whom I have the utmost respect.

Obviously Champions Cup is a mess now in particular since URC forced its way through with SA franchises on the bandwagon.

Nevertheless Top 14 cannot go on as it is with games still played in June.

No, FFR gives money for international players, but currently, with the FFR LNR agreement, LNR gives 26,5 M€ every year to FFR. This agreement ends next year and is currently being discussed for the future.

CC. It’s pointless seeing these severely weakened sides playing, just the very best of each league competing would be better. Even 12 teams. 4 Top 14, 4 URC and 4 Gallagher Premiership. 3 groups of 4, play each team in your group once then group winners plus best second place team go to semi finals. This way every game is important, not like now.

I think Top 14 could benefit to become Top 16. Two groups of 8. Play home and away against the teams in your group plus one against the opposing group. Total of 21 games, then you have the finals.

Top 100 Men's Rugby Players 2025 | Best Rugby Player in the World | RugbyPass

For what it’s worth, while I am totally impressed with Sacha’s rocket ship increase in learning over this season, I reckon it would have been better to put him a little way down the list, for one simple reason. While he’s been incredible in 2025, the way he’s getting better almost by the match, he’d have to be placed at position +5 by the end of 2026! He really is that good, and I’m someone down here in Cape Town who wasn’t particularly impressed with him at the start of the year, but the speed with which he’s got the message(s) from Rassie and Dobbo has been mouth-opening for many of us. All I hope for - apart from him not getting injured - is that other top players in rugby around the world will also learn from him and continue to make the game improve even more, as it seems to be doing right now.

In 2023 England were by far the best team in the world at contesting attacking kicks. Then the media spent a year screeching about how England needed to diversify their attacking approach.

Honestly I think its unclear at this point whether England’s more attacking approach was genuinely believed by Borthwick to be the best approach or if he was just caving to pressure. Either way, hopefully he’ll get back to basics in 2026!

Leo should be put out to pasture so. I’m hoping that Lancaster gets a few more bodies soon and turns connaught fortunes around. I’d say a lot of players at leinster who played under him would go for the game time

Larmour looked to be the next XF player for Ireland when he was in the academy. Injuries have not helped him. He is now 28, so it is getting late for him to come htrough. I read a few days ago he may move down to Munster.
