After a four year wait Saracens have climbed back to the summit of Premiership Women’s Rugby, overpowering underdogs Trailfinders Women 52–14 to claim their fourth PWR title in front of a packed Stoop.

Under Alex Austerberry, Saracens were simply dominant from the very first second, controlling the narrative of the game through a level of physicality the opposition couldn’t match.

With Marlie Packer running the forward pack show and Olivia Apps steered the backline to glorious scores. Saracens ran in eight tries to Trailfinders’ two in what was an almost flawless performance.

1. Kelsey Clifford – 7
Didn’t falter at scrum time and packed a handful of impactful carries. Nothing much else to add.

2. Byrony Field – 7.5
Aside from a single skewed lineout throw, Field was determined to provide a sturdy set-piece platform that would allow her side to unleash its full potential. Was penalised once for deliberately slowing down the ball, but had a more than optimal performance.

3. Donna Rose – 7
Donna Rose had fewer chances to get involved when compared to Clifford, but was solid in her scrummaging and did well to stop the Trailfinders driving maul in their tracks.

4. Julia Omokhuale – 8.5
Scored her side’s opening try of the final and looked constantly energised, always ready to surge in support of her team’s ball carriers. Gave the opposition’s lineout hell —managing to claw a steal— and kept disrupting the Trailfinders ruck whenever she could.

5. Laetitia Royer – 8
Massive, massive performance from Canada’s Laetitia Royer, who was pivotal to deflating the opposition’s driving maul, quickly finding a way to break it apart. The experienced lock was one of the Saracens top off-the-ball operators, tirelessly working to keep her team in the driver’s seat.

6. Gabrielle Senft – 7
That yellow card could’ve been costly for Saracens, were it not for the way her team held together in those ten minutes. However, it would be extremely harsh to judge Senft solely on that moment, as she was otherwise precise at the breakdown and put in more than a few heavy tackles.

7. Marlie Packer – 10
Otherworldly stuff from one of Sarries greatest servants. Marlie Packer looked unsatiable from the very start, tearing apart the Trailfinders breakdown and pilfering the ball to feed her team’s attack. Beyond her two tries, Packer was everywhere, ensuring the Trailfinders had no clear path to glory while boosting the Saracens’ chances with every passing minute, and not even her short stroll to the sin-bin pinched her rating. The captain will be dearly missed.

8. Sophie de Goede – 9
If Packer was beyond spectacular, what can we say about the 2025 World Rugby Women’s 15s Player of the Year, Sophie de Goede? Cunning and energetic, the No.8 was ferocious in every area of the game, playing a massive role in how events unfolded in this final. 60 running metres, three defenders beaten, 10 successful tackles, and one dominant hit — an all-action display that helped Saracens reclaim the title.

9. Olivia Apps – 9
Another Canadian operative who was crucial for the Saracens title glory. Olivia Apps was immense, masterfully commanding her team with several key passes and smooth play, making things easier for the new PWR champions.

10. Zoe Harrison – 9
Marshalled the Sarries towards title glory with her kicking game, exploiting well the Trailfinders excessive depth, making the opposition’s life harder by the minute. Harrison was close to perfection from the tee, slotting seven from eight, having also the chance to score her first try of the PWR season.

11. Sydney Gregson – 8
Sydney Gregson really fancies playing against the Trailfinders, as the rapid winger bagged yet another try to help her team conquer the PWR for the first time since 2022. She added 80 running metres, sidestepped half a dozen incoming tacklers and setting the game alight every time she got the ball.

12. Sophie Bridger – 7
Megan Jones placed Sophie Bridger under immense pressure in the early stages of the game, but the Sarries inside centre ultimately managed to find a way to narrow down Jones’ line of action. She didn’t have many opportunities to showcase her attacking ability, and on the four occasions she did get the ball, she committed two knock-ons.

13. Emma Hardy – 6.5
Emma Hardy had to focus more on defensive duties than attacking ones, with the 25-year-old centre having her hands full trying to contain Megan Jones and Claire Gallagher.

14. Alysha Corrigan – 8
Like Sydney Gregson, Alysha Corrigan was brilliant, making every opportunity count and eventually crossing for a try. The Olympic speedster capped off the final with a game-high 90 running metres and five defenders beaten.

15. Jess Breach – 8.5
Resolute in defence, Breach was crucial in shutting down Megan Jones and Vicky Laflin during the rare moments the Trailfinders’ backline broke through. Her contribution proved instrumental to her side’s triumph, going well beyond the two tries she scored.

Replacements – N/A
The bench slowly rolled in, helping her side maintain control of the game as Trailfinders tried to fabricate something out of nothing. Liz Crake delivered some staunching dominant tackles while Poppy Cleall made sure to leave her mark in under 20 minutes.
