Scotland scrum-half/wing Jamie Dobie has signed a long-term contract extension with Glasgow Warriors.

The new deal, understood to be for three years until the summer of 2029, comes as the 25-year-old approaches a century of games in Glasgow colours, having made 99 appearances in his seven years with the club to date.

Dobie made his senior professional debut in the opening match of the 2019/20 season, coming off the bench away to the Toyota Cheetahs after joining the Warriors directly from Merchiston Castle School.

Inverness-born Dobie has scored seven tries in 19 caps for his country, including a hat-trick in last November’s 85-0 win against the USA.

Equally comfortable at nine or out wide, Dobie enjoyed a sublime 2025/26 season for club and country, finishing as Glasgow’s joint-top try-scorer in the BKT United Rugby Championship.

Amongst his season highlights were braces of tries in victories away to the Ospreys and Edinburgh – winning the Player of the Match award in both matches.

“I’m delighted to extend my contract with Glasgow Warriors. It’s a club that means a lot to me and I’m incredibly proud every time I pull on the jersey, especially playing in front of our supporters at Scotstoun,” said Dobie.

“It’s a brilliant environment here, and spending every day surrounded by world class players, coaches and staff makes it the best place for me to keep developing as a player.

“We’ve got an exciting, ambitious group here and I’m really looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together over the next few years.”

Glasgow Warriors Head Coach Franco Smith added “Jamie has shown consistent growth during his time with the club and continues to develop as a player and a leader within our environment.

“His versatility and understanding of our game are important attributes, as is his willingness to work hard every day and set a positive example for those around him.

“He is a player who cares deeply about representing Glasgow Warriors and we are pleased that he has committed his long-term future to the club.”
