Red Roses scrum-half Lucy Packer has re-signed with Premiership Women’s Rugby club Harlequins.

The 26-year-old Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 winner made her debut for the West London club in 2018 and made her 100th appearance for Ross Chisholm’s side in February this year.

Packer was a member of the Harlequins team that won a Premier 15s crown in 2021. At this year’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations, as John Mitchell’s England won an eighth title in a row, started all five matches at the Championship. This included a 78-minute performance in Bordeaux against France to secure a fifth Grand Slam on the trot.

Ross Chisholm, Harlequins head coach, said: “Lucy is one of the best scrum-halves in the game. We’ve seen her take her game to another level this season for club and country. She is a key part of our squad and someone who brings calmness and precision to our game plan on pitch.

“To have already reached 100 appearances for Harlequins at such a young age is testament to her dedication and commitment to the club. I’m really looking forward to seeing Lucy continue to wear the quarters next season and believe that she is a someone who will continue to take her game to even higher levels in the coming seasons.”

Packer has joined Maja Meuller, Kayleigh Powell, Claudia Pena and Aoife Wafer in penning a new deal at the Twickenham Stoop. The club have also announced the impending arrivals of England duo Marlie Packer and Rosie Galligan, while star full-back Ellie Kildunne has signed with Bristol Bears.

In 2025/26, Harlequins placed fifth in the PWR table, four points adrift of fourth-place and eventual finalists Trailfinders Women.

Packer said: “I’m looking forward to another season wearing the quarters. Reaching 100 caps with my family and friends at the Stoop earlier this year was incredibly special and I’m excited to be running out in front of the home crowd again next season.”
