Warriors captain Kyle Steyn saw his try in the 26th minute ruled out for a forward pass, before Benetton went ahead on the half-hour when when Federico Zanandrea sprinted clear to go over in the corner. A penalty from Jacob Umaga just ahead of the break gave the home side a 10-0 lead.

Benetton had another try two minutes after the restart when winger Louis Lynagh burst down the flank after latching onto a loose pass, before Mattia Midena picked up a yellow card for a no-arms tackle.

Benetton edged back in front on 68 minutes through a long-range penalty from Umaga, but the Warriors responded again when Oguntibeju barged over with two minutes left and Bayley Kuenzle slotted over the kick to secure a hard-earned third URC win.
