Mark Dodson has announced that he will step down from his position as chief executive of Scottish Rugby in the summer of 2024, bringing to an end a near-13-year reign.

I agree they can certainly improve and moving JB to 15 may be part of the solution but with naholo and Narawa they do have other options waiting in the wings.

The 6-2 with Blackadder and Lakai in the mix with Vaai at 6 is also v tempting.

Blackadder in the black jersey last year didn’t get in anywhere near enough rucks for a loose forward and is guaranteed to get injured and miss significant game time every year. He’s a waste of a roster spot and better off on standby for occasional games rather than being a regular member of the squad where he’s expected to be there for the whole season.

Wellington Stadium mainly. Too big to justify attendance numbers. Only really fills up during finals, and the Hurricanes rarely get home finals.

Ethan Blackadder should have been picked ahead of Jacobsen and Finau after his efforts in helping the Crusaders get the title. Cullen Grace , his team mate is another. Sam Darry needs more chances, his form for the Blues last year and Canterbury this year suggest he needs a chance.Canterbury and Crusaders lock Jamie Hannah has had a great year. High work rate , great skills. Great he made the NZ 15. As pointed out , Corey Kellow was stunning before injury for Canterbury, must be looked at. Paddy T will be welcomed back , he was missed.

Increased costs and falling revenue, made worse by having very few home finals games over the last several years. Using the high performance facility is one increased cost, as is the hurricanes poua and let’s face it no one watches women's rugby so its just a money pit. Heavy losses over the last 3 years have coincided with the establishment of the poua. Could be other things. I’m just speculating

Coaching certainly matters but what the NZ public clearly don’t understand is that it is not 2011-2015. NZ don’t have the players!

SA are clearly no 1 with incredible depth but you can throw a blanket over France NZ Eng Ireland.

Really Leo? Surely a game is a game and there is no rational basis for differentiating between internationals and club games. We as Saffas are by no means claiming victimhood. Its our accusers and detractors who are. Trying by any means to extend the EE ban beyond the designated period specifically to incorporate internationals only seems suspiciously like an attempt to deny Etsebeth's talents to the Boks does it not? There seems no other rational explanation for it?

There is no way Frizell/Cane/Savea with Papalii is smaller and less powerful than Parker/Lakai/Savea with Sititi.

Any gain in size and power made at blindside with Parker and Vaa’i over Frizell has been lost by the downsizing at openside with Savea and Kirifi at openside.

A Lion returns as Leinster issue mixed injury update on Test trio

The youngsters are still green so getting bashed up and down Welford Road will be character building - certainly did Leo no harm when he played there. If Henshaw if fit then I can see him coming in for Frawley with Ioane starting at 13, Frawley if fit on the bench. But it will be won in the forwards and this pack are still not there. Snyman will be a big loss with Ryan still suspended.
