Los Pumas make five changes for England with undefeated Autumn in sight

One final game stands between Los Pumas and a perfect Quilter Nations Series, and head coach Felipe Contepomi has shuffled his matchday 23 to keep his players fresh for the coming Twickenham showdown.

An England side riding high after 10 straight wins, including a statement victory over the All Blacks last time out, awaits Argentina. Contepomi has opted for five changes to the starting XV that bested Scotland in a dramatic comeback last weekend, with changes made at prop, flanker, fly-half, wing, and centre.

Thomas Gallo is the prop coming in, replacing Mayco Vivas. The hard-hitting Marcos Kremer has replaced Joaquín Oviedo in the loose trio, sparking a reshuffle there.

In the backline, Tomás Albornoz has been favoured ahead of Gerónimo Prisciantelli at 10, while Bautista Delguy replaces Mateo Carreras on the wing, and centre Justo Piccardo comes in for Santiago Chocobares.

Any reason why M Carreras and Chocobares have been left out entirely?? Those 2 are 2 of the best in the world in their respective positions.

As an England sympathiser - my father always said he fought for the King of England when he volunteered in ‘39 - England have lost one international this weekend. So as a Saffa I’m going to break ranks and shout for England. I hope I’m not back to my old Jonah persona🙄

Argentina has gone 6-2. Good stuff. They will be able to match England for intensity, especially with Pablo and Joaquin coming off the bench. This should be close. Will be interesting as to who can recover from big games the best. Argentina good chance.

80 min team these days. Always brilliant to watch.

While it’s unlikely the Pumas will win - they have added a number of big scalps to their record at the best possible time.

Now is one of those times.

Given England’s injuries I’d place the Pumas as very slight favourites - at most a 50-50 game.

Either way I’m confident it will be a tougher game for England than the ABs or Australia was - which says much about the current international game.
