Jorja Miller claims RugbyPass MVP despite Levi’s heroics in Bordeaux

Maddison Levi received maximum votes after producing a Player of the Final performance in the HSBC SVNS Bordeaux decider, seeing the Australian finish the 2026 season in second place on the RugbyPass SVNS Series MVP leaderboard.
Jorja Miller had already done enough to wrap up the RugbyPass MVP title ahead of the last two stops of the season, with the 22-year-old playing a leading role in New Zealand’s dominant run of six titles in seven events.
But Australia saved their best tournament-wide performances of the season until the business end of the campaign, as they took hold of the HSBC SVNS World Championship race in Valladolid and Bordeaux.

Levi scored seven tries in three matches before suffering an injury during the competition in Spain and the try-scoring machine missed most of the Bordeaux event too. But the Aussie starred on day three at Stade Atlantique, including a season-defining performance in the Cup Final.
An entire season had come down to that last match, with Australia and New Zealand both vying for the World Championship crown. Australia were ahead on the ladder but the Black Ferns Sevens would’ve claimed the top prize on match points differential with a victory.
Levi stole the show in front of a passionate French crowd, touching down for go-ahead points just before half-time. Then, with time quickly running out for the New Zealanders, Levi beat a Kelsey Teneti tackle attempt to score the match-sealing try in the dying stages.
All four RugbyPass writers recognised the significance of Levi’s efforts at SVNS Bordeaux, with the Aussie receiving a maximum 12 votes. New Zealand’s Risi Pouri-Lane and Manaia Nuku both impressive as well, as did Australia’s Heidi Dennis.
Charity Williams was scoring tries for fun throughout the season finale, which saw the Canadian poll votes from two writers. The USA’s Kaylen Thomas and Australia captain Isabella Nasser were also among the event’s top performers.
