Crusaders centre Jack Goodhue could miss his side’s week eight match against the Jaguares after sustaining a hamstring injury against the Lions.

Goodhue was injured while in the act of scoring what would be the decisive try, clutching at his leg after the try was awarded.

The tough All Black centre would play through pain for a couple of minutes before being replaced by Mike Delany.

Crusaders head coach Scott Robertson said post-match that Goodhue would be assessed by medical staff before a decision is made in terms of keeping him with the side on their upcoming trip to Buenos Aires.

Goodhue’s midfield partner and fellow All Black Ryan Crotty also put in a shortened shift, leaving the match after the first half.

Robertson attributed Crotty’s absence to a lack of energy after he had been battling with illness.

“He had the flu all week and just felt drained – the well was dry, so we decided to rest him,” Robertson said.

The Crusaders are due to leave for Buenos Aires on Monday night.
