Flo Robinson set for first Red Roses start against the USA
Red Roses head coach John Mitchell has made six changes to his starting XV as England prepare to face the USA in their final WXV Global Series fixture on Friday 30 October at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.
Flo Robinson will make her first international start in an England jersey after impressing off the bench against Canada last week.
The Exeter Chiefs scrum-half, who won her first cap during the 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations, will form the half-back partnership with Sale Sharks fly-half Holly Aitchison.
Claudia Moloney-MacDonald returns to the wing, with Mia Venner and Emma Sing retaining their spots and completing the back three.
Meanwhile, Tatyana Heard completes the backline amendments at inside centre, linking up with captain Meg Jones at outside centre.
Gloucester-Hartpury duo Mackenzie Carson and Maud Muir come into the front row, with vice captain Amy Cokayne named at hooker.
The lock shirts will be worn by Morwenna Talling and Lilli Ives Campion once more, while the back row consists of Abi Burton, Sadia Kabeya and Maddie Feaunati.
On the bench, there is a wealth of experience as Bryony Field, Hannah Botterman, Sarah Bern, Demelza Short and Alex Matthews provide forward cover, while Mo Hunt, Zoe Harrison and Ellie Kildunne complete the 23 as backline options.
Ahead of the clash against the USA, head coach John Mitchell said: “Our intent is to start this next phase strongly against the USA, with six months until our next Test in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations.
“We’re rotating some positions this week to refresh the group, create opportunities and continue building our depth.
“Selection is driven by what the team needs against the USA, the behaviours we value and the performance we’re preparing to deliver.
“Everyone has a role, and everyone is accountable for our standards.”
