New USA Women’s Eagles head coach Jack Hanratty has named his 32-player squad for the 2026 Pacific Four Series.

The squad announcement comes with confirmation that former England Red Roses assistant coach Lou Meadows has joined the North Americans’ backroom staff. Jon Humphreys has joined from the Welsh Rugby Union and Tom Clough from Ulster Rugby.

Sarah Chobot continues as her role as an assistant coach. The former Eagle international has been with the team since 2024 and led Denver Onyx to the 2025 Women’s Elite Rugby title.

The team’s regular captain Kate Zackary is unavailable for selection after a significant injury sustained playing for her Premiership Women’s Rugby side Trailfinders Women, which has resulted in surgery for the 36-year-old. Exeter Chiefs’ Gabby Cantorna is also unavailable for selection due to injury.

There is a place for record cap holder Hope Rogers, as well as team veterans Lotte Sharp, Alev Kelter and Georgie Perris-Redding.

USA Women’s Eagles Sevens internationals Cass Bargell, Hann Humphreys and Erica Coulibaly are also included by Hanratty, with the later two having helped the Eagles to a podium finish in New York in the HSBC SVNS Series finale.

In total there are 10 players in line to make their international debuts. This includes Bella Vogel, who has risen through the ranks and toured with the USA U20s. There is also a place for Telesi Uhatafe, who was named 2025’s National Collegiate Rugby Player of the Year.

Jack Hanratty, USA Women’s Eagles head coach, said: “This is an incredibly unique time for this program. We are entering year one of a new journey with new players, coaches, and staff moving forward together – working collaboratively with the chance to put our work on the home stage in three different USA Rugby communities – against some of the best countries of the world.

“We’re excited to explore the game, challenge ourselves and – most importantly – compete. Our aim is to of course, win matches but whatever the final score – understanding the wins & losses of each aspect of the game to identify key learnings moving forward.

“A lot of recognisable stalwarts from the Eagles have retired post-Rugby World Cup, and a couple more are unavailable due to injury, but this gives new athletes a huge opportunity to put their hand up and show who they are and be a part of the new we.

“We look forward to connecting, learning and sharing the journey with the USA Rugby community across the United States as we begin creating, developing and celebrating a uniquely Eagles style of rugby.”
