Bristol's Jake Woolmore has double century in sight after signing new deal

Experienced prop Jake Woolmore, the second most capped Premiership player in the club’s history, has signed a new contract with Bristol Bears.

The loose-head, who has made 179 appearances for the club since arriving from Jersey Reds in 2018 – 139 in the Premiership, putting him second behind Darren Crompton – has been a mainstay of the Bears pack over the past eight seasons.

A powerful and dependable presence in the front row, Woolmore is widely respected within the squad for his professionalism, standards and leadership on and off the field.

Director of Rugby Pat Lam said: “Jake is a Bristol Bears centurion and one of the most capped players to ever represent this club in the Premiership. He is hugely respected by everyone around him.

“His leadership, consistency, and unwavering dedication set an example for others to follow, and I’m delighted he has chosen to extend his stay into a ninth season.
