Adam Hastings to leave Glasgow and join Scottish exodus to France

Adam Hastings is the latest Scotland international to decide on a move to France, after signing a two-year deal with Montpellier.

Hastings will have the likes of Stuart Hogg and Ali Price as team-mates when he starts his new venture at the end of the season, while Ben White (Toulon), Blair Kinghorn (Toulouse) and Jamie Ritchie (Perpignan) are three oher high-profile Scots currently plying their trade in the Top 14.

The 29-year-old has been in good form of late and looks certain to add to his 35 Scotland caps in the Six Nations.

The son of Scotland legend, Gavin, has made 81 appearances to date in Glasgow colours across two spells with the club, having made his debut for the club back in 2017.

He made 53 appearances in his first stint at the club before departing in 2021, returning in the summer of 2024 to rejoin the Warriors ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Hastings is one of only six players to amass over 500 points as a Glasgow Warrior, reaching the feat in victory over the Vodacom Bulls earlier this season.

It will his first move overseas, having only previously played in the U.K, at Bath and Gloucester, as well as Glasgow.
