2026 WXV Global Series: Every single fixture and kick-off time

In September a new era for women’s rugby will begin when the WXV Global Series sets sail for the very first time.
The top 18 ranked teams in the world will face-off across an eight-week global window between 12 September to 31 October. The 12 top-ranked sides in the world – Australia, Canada, England, France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, USA, and Wales – will take part in the home-and-away cross-regional touring WXV Global Series.
It has also been confirmed that Mitsubishi Electric is the presenting partner of the WXV Global Series and WXV Global Series Challenger. Over 100 women’s Test matches will be played ahead of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia – 36 Test matches will be played across September and October this year.

Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 winners, the Red Roses, start their campaign against Australia in the north-west of England, before taking on Canada at Exeter’s Sandy Park and New Zealand at Allianz Stadium across the following fortnight.
Teams ranked 13-18 in the world – Fiji, Hong Kong China, Netherlands, Samoa, Spain and BrazilĀ – will take part in a three-week WXV Global Series Challenger at a centralised competition hosted at Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong.
This two-tier format will allow more competitive matches for supporters to enjoy on television and from the stands ahead of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.
Qualification for the 2029 tournament is also a key part of WXV Global Series events. Hosts, Australia, have already qualified for the tournament, as have England, Canada, New Zealand and France. This means that 13 teams have been left to compete for the 11 open slots.

Eight of those places will be filled through regional competition, while the two best non-qualified teams according to the World Rugby rankings will qualify at the end of the 2027 international window. The final place will be decided at the 2028 edition of the WXV Global Series Challenger.
