What is the WXV Global Series?
The WXV series was first contested in 2023 and initially featured a three-tier format. However, to improve scheduling and increase the number of elite international fixtures available to the world’s leading women’s teams, the format was altered in 2026.
Now the tournament comprises two competitions: the WXV Global Series, which pits the top 12 ranked teams against each other over an eight week period, and the WXV Global Series Challenger, a six-team competition held over three match weekends in one host country.
