    Tommy Freeman Bio

Born on 5 March 2001, Tommy Freeman took to rugby at a young age. However, he was released by the Leicester Tigers Academy at the age of 16.

Thankfully, he was quickly picked up by Northampton Saints. The change of scenery was good for him and Freeman excelled immediately, making his first team debut for the side only a year later.

Tommy Freeman has stayed with Northampton Saints ever since and has made almost 100 appearances for the club. During his time in green, black and gold so far, he’s won the Premiership Rugby title and appeared in a European Rugby Champions Cup final.

Tommy Freeman’s talents were soon spotted by England and he made his debut for the national team on a 2022 tour of Australia. Since 2024, he’s become a regular in the starting lineup. Known for his try-scoring ability, in 2025 he became the first English player in the history of the Six Nations Championship to score a try in each round of a Six Nations campaign.

Thanks to his form for club and country, Tommy Freeman was selected for the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia by head coach Andy Farrell. On the tour, he played in all three tests as the Lions claimed a 2-1 series victory.

Still young and with the world at his feet, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Tommy Freeman.
