Seeing how the best players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales bond together is a privilege that only those inside the Lions den normally enjoy.

However, since professionalism, the behind-the-scenes documentary has become every bit as much a tradition of British and Irish Lions tours as drinking fines and BIL, the team’s cub mascot.

And the good news for Lions fans is that every documentary spanning a two-decade period from 2001 to 2021 is now available to watch, and for free, on RugbyPass TV.

Starting with 2001 and a tearful changing room address to the players from tour manager Donal Lenihan after Australia edged the series 2-1, the RPTV back catalogue is rich in colour and insight.

‘Up Close and Personal’ is then followed in 2005 by Inside the Lions Den, which documents how the Lions’ tour to New Zealand went so badly off the rails.

Living with the Pride captures the best moments of the 2009 tour to South Africa, which ended in a 2-1 defeat but with pride restored under the watchful eye of ‘Lion King’ Sir Ian McGeechan.

Relive the sight of George North picking up Israel Folau as if he was taking out the garbage four years on in Lions Raw, while Lions Uncovered tells the whole story of the epic drawn series with the All Blacks.

With no fans present, the 2021 tour to South Africa was like no other, but Two Sides makes for compelling viewing nonetheless.
