Video: This seasons best and worst Premiership player stats.... so far

By Peteso Cannon

Apparently, there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Luckily, we don’t feel the same way about stats as Mark Twain!

Stats help us to ask the eternal questions, like who in the Premiership has missed most tackles? Who has made the most metres? Or who has beaten the most defenders?

If these are the type of thoughts have been praying on your mind, not to fear, RugbyPass is here.

The below video outlines some of the more impressive individual stats from the season thus far, while also showing one or two less than impressive statistics.

While players like Olly Woodburn are included in the video for most defenders beaten, he also tops the charts for clean breaks (the two would seem to go hand in hand), however, these figures are more impressive when you consider that he is also joint fourth for turnovers in the league.

There are also some unwanted stats, like Ben Franks, who has managed to give away a rather impressive amount of penalties so far this season but undoubtedly the most unwanted stat for any rugby player goes to Harry Mallinder for most tackles missed to date.

All figures are included in the video below:
