That’s the intriguing thing, would the role be to take over Hansens job (in all but name, ala this whole shebang)? We won’t know until the review next year.

What we already know is one of those five names is already the new kicking coach?

Given the three current assistants all have had previous success working with Razor and understand how he operates (which seemingly the other two didn't), an O’Gara or Goodman makes sense.

“What do you think this means?”

That the NZRU rely on turnovers caused by the attackers running straight into defenders with no chance of getting up any speed and being able to get through (except of course for the brilliant Bok SFM who you might have heard of) their line without getting the ball taken from them even if they get slightly isolated which is why there is so much box kicking these days instead of running!! And why we have stupid laws like the 50:22 one to try and get the ball further upfield! Geddit now???

It's difficult to imagine most of those coaches would give up their gigs for a narrow role below Hansen. Especially after two blokes have already left. To go to a coaching team that's being heavily criticised. Sounds like a plumb job.

I do think Aussie has to look at itself as another Ireland who also compete with the likes of GAA for talent at a younger age. One idea might be to work more in concert with NRL and AFL so that players can have dual contracts and play more than one sport at a time? Maybe pie in the sky, but could you have some form of ‘open contract’ which allow youngsters to develop towards the sport which suits them best?

If you were picking outside backs who were best under the high ball, then Jordie Barrett and fullback and Caleb Clarke one one wing would be our best options. Jordan really struggles under high ball IMO although he is a lethal finisher. Jordie at fullback offers a massive punt, solid defence and great under high ball but not as lethal on counter attack

Ah right, that’s an interesting point. I don’t know the exact answer but to me the competition feels a bit padded out and the format is strange.

Harry Plummer is doing well at Clermont. Jack Goodhue is solid at Castres. Abraham Papali’i and Feibyan Tukino have been alternating the 8 jersey there too. Gibson Popoali’i just joined Montauban and started both games in the Challenge Cup, did alright. There are some Kiwis at Lyon, one who is quite interesting is called Ave Maalo. He’s a 22 year old prop, came on against Dragons last game and scored a try. That’s just to name some. Also now Top 14 TV is available to subscribe to if you want to watch live or replays.

'He is the most respected individual I've ever seen inside the All Blacks'

Alot of what made that team was the off field leadership. KM, sonny bill, the owens bros all had a massive work ethic. So did mccaw and carter trained for endless hours. It created this bond and respect within the team which gave them the extra 2% no other team could match.
