Rounds 15 and 16 PWR fixtures confirmed

The dates and kick-off times for Rounds 15 and 16 of the Premiership Women’s Rugby 2025/26 season have been confirmed.

Round 15 will begin with Harlequins taking on Trailfinders Women in a London derby on Friday 20th March 2026 at 7:30pm live on the BBC.

Leicester Tigers then face Exeter Chiefs on Saturday lunchtime before TNT Sports stages Loughborough Lightning against Gloucester-Hartpury on Sunday at 12:15pm. The final game of the round sees Sale Sharks welcome Bristol Bears at 3pm, also on the Sunday.

Round 16 sees games head to big stadiums as Bristol Bears take on Harlequins at the Principality Stadium which kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday 28th March with Saracens’ clash with Sale Sharks at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 2:30pm, which is live on the BBC. Sunday sees Trailfinders Women host Loughborough Lightning at 12:15pm with the match live on TNT Sports.

You can probably argue there are 3 potential back line options for him to choose from over the next 2 years;

No, we don’t know it’s “like Rennie”. There was no statement that DRs sacking was unanimous by the Aus board but there was with razor.

Interesting you’re now accepting that JJ may have been approached though. As I said, it is as close to certain that you can be without the full facts that they already had JJ engaged and lined up and there was no blind gamble as you suggested.

When I was coaching a Junior High School side we beat a very well fancied school team coached by former Springbok full back and after the game he said to me that he was missing key players. My reply was that you can only play the opposition side on the park. Three months later we played them again with three key players extra and we still beat them. You can’t talk about what iffs in sport. It’s a complete waste of time and energy.

It falls with Joe Schmidt as well by the way, as good a coach as he is. Starting early in 2023, they needed to see that Christie wasn’t going to win anyone a WC and establish Roigard as Smiths assistant.

I think the best thing NZR could do is prepare that sort of document and communicate to the fans what they weren’t happy with and the areas they expect to change with the new coach.

Then the Kiwi fans know what drove the decision and what they should be looking for in the future.

It’s all pretty confusing isn’t it? If they knew how good a coach TB was, the time to appoint him was 2023 in tandem with JJ. Now they cannot get him but they sack Razor anyways…. So as you say they cd still appoint JJ but it would a bit like Clough without Taylor or Alex Ferguson without Steve McLaren or Brian Kidd.

Damn good vintage 2026 so far Nick. Bravo. What is bewildering to me is that in a straight race between Razor and Jamie coupled with Brown, NZR chose Razor. They had all the information at their disposal, but they chose Razor. Then they dumped Razor hoping to get a better bet on the JJTB Quinella. By so doing, admitting they had got it wrong in the first place. Unfortunately TB had in the interim left the stable and so was no longer coupled on the tote with JJ. But they sacked Robertson either before they knew of the stable change or in spite of the stable change. Things get curiouser and curiouser. Meanwhile whoever gets the Mad Hatter’s job is getting very late for a very important date. JJ might very well have a dream race, get the benefit of one or two disqualifications, and go on to win the WC but by God he is running under a welterweight of a handicap.

It appears that Razor was “summoned by the governing body on Monday, January 12 and was “asked to bring an employment lawyer”, but was “given no indication of any issue with the player review” before the meeting.” Sources say that “Robertson was shocked by the “tone of the meeting” and despite further discussions the next day, he was out of a job on the Thursday.” He was never told exactly what the players’ concerns were, or what numbers of players even had concerns.

You have no idea what the process was and neither do I, so why bother with the ‘preposterous’ speculation?
