Raffaele Storti’s future is close to being confirmed, with the Lobos wing set to change clubs this summer by joining Pro D2 leaders and Top 14 promotion contenders FC Grenoble.

While some French outlets have already reported the move, RugbyPass understands that Grenoble still need to finalise an agreement with Stade Français.

Paul Gustard’s side are expected to undergo a squad rebuild at the end of the season, but Storti was deemed surplus to requirements back in January and was allowed to explore options for the 2024/25 campaign.

Storti joined Stade Français in May 2024 with the aim of finally making his mark in the Top 14.

However, the outside back saw little game time during his second stint with the Parisian club. Not even a try on his debut was enough to convince Karim Ghezal and Gustard of his long-term value, and he has not featured since January 18.

Before his return to Paris, Storti impressed for AS Béziers-Hérault, scoring 31 tries in 31 appearances and breaking the Pro D2 record for most tries in a single season.

Born and raised in Lisbon, Storti came through the ranks at Técnico Rugby before making his debut for Portugal in 2019. The rapid wing has scored 32 tries for the Lobos, including three at the most recent Rugby World Cup.

He is set to link up with fellow Portuguese internationals José Madeira and Cody Thomas at Grenoble, replacing Geoffrey Cros and Wilfried Hulleu, who are moving to CA Brive and Racing 92 respectively.

FC Grenoble have been a dominant force in this season’s Pro D2, holding top spot in the table since January. The Alpine club have been targeting a return to the Top 14 since their relegation in 2019.
