Perpignan land second All Black from Crusaders with Braydon Ennor signing
After something of a resurgent 2025, injury-plagued All Black Braydon Ennor has cashed in with a move to the Top 14.
The 28-year-old will join Crusaders and All Blacks teammate Sevu Reece in shifting to Perpignan next season, ending a nine-year professional career at Rugby Park.
A nine-time All Black, Ennor’s career has featured three serious knee injuries, each at three-year intervals; a pattern he broke by emerging from 2025 unscathed.
Having suffered the most recent of his ACL tears in an All Blacks jersey just months out from the 2023 Rugby World Cup, Ennor’s career remains a what-could-have-been topic for Kiwi fans.
Some strong form after returning to the field over the final few rounds of the 2025 Super Rugby season saw Ennor selected for Jamie Joseph’s All Blacks XV squad, where he reasserted his Test-match quality.
“This decision comes with a lot of emotions. I love this place and the people here, but I’m really excited for what’s next,” says Ennor.
“I’ve done so much growing in this place, and I owe so much to the red and black jersey. I’ll always call this place home…
“To be able to call this a job and turn up to Rugby Park every week with my mates to go to work, it’s the best thing in the world.”
Perpignan currently sit second to last on the Top 14 table, with just three wins from 15 games and half the number of competition points as the team one spot above them on the table, Lyon.
The signing of two Crusaders, both of whom have contributed to a handful of Super Rugby title wins, is sure to be a welcome addition at the Stade Aimé Giral.
“This is a chapter I’ll treasure for the rest of my life,” says Ennor.
