dw, in the SR game where Jorgensen suffered a lower leg injury, within the first 10 minutes he made 3 defensive errors (poor contact & positional play), these types of lapses have occurred in a number of his performances. Often in Test matches, whether it’s under Schmidt‘s direction or not, he seems to be defending too far infield. With the current Oz defensive pattern there seems to often be a disconnection with all the outside backs, not really operating as a unit, which isn’t helping Sualli.

Personally, I think Daugunu (wasted on the bench) & Potter or Pietsch are better wing options, stronger defenders, ok in the air, can jackal & carry powerfully.

Yes the bit of hope I am clinging on to is that Kiss and team get some key selections right and this unlocks some success. Joe seemed fixated on JAS at 13, Len at 12, Harry at 8 and captain and Frost/Williams in the row. Just a few tweaks to this could be vital. And yes wouldn't it be great if we snagged an experienced defence coach to the coaching team!

Great comment . Richie Mo’unga is an absolutely brilliant first-five. He will close a few mouths as you say. Foster had Beauden always there at 15 or ahead of him at 10. He was terrible to Richie. I have disagreed with Robertson on heaps of things and I think they are in a bit of a rut. But about the only thing I am with him on is the need to have Richie Mo’unga back. There should have been more development of younger 10’s too. I rate Rivez Reihana , he was a cool head for the Crusaders. Most of the dislike to Richie is based on where he comes from here in NZ.

I did see talk of Gordon playing 12 to cater for the other 57 fly half’s in the squad. Surely he’s the best 10 in the country!? Keep him at 10 and move one of the others to 15?

For all the talk of needing an aussie coach…he came in with a depleted squad and was expected to finish in the bottom half of the ladder. Got them winning immediately and built a strong culture. Players loved him

that really sums up the whole Australasian situation, doesn’t it? All our player and coaching frailties devolve back to a competition that is out of synch with the rest of the rugby world, and until Rugby NZ admit it, they won’t be finding any convincing solutions.

I disagree wholeheartedly. If you’re doing well enough to get an extra couple of tries that also has the effect not not conceding tries, so the results become no different than their other much acclaimed victories this year and last.

I will admit that they showed even better than that against the Lions though, and that I don’t think I even got around to watching the Irish game, so what do I know!

The Wallaby defence has been a non-work in progress. I was amazed that Schmidt didn’t do something about it early in his time, as it was so obvious, even to an old forward like me. He should have moved Lord Laurie on. The problem was exacerbated when we played a tier one team, as your video shorts show too painfully. The win against SA in J’berg was a false dawn. How many can we have?

I am disappointed if Les controls the attack. Are we going down an attack rabbit hole with Les, like the defensive hole we went down with Joe?

Yes agree and if he stays then Aussie may go another level. The NH tour was disaapointing but I think people forget how difficult the Lions tour was with effectively a mini tour of SA to follow. They showed what can be done with a big powerful pack. Nobody has humbled the Boks like they did since Rassie took over.

It was a shame when he left the roar a few years back but I didn't realise it was just the beginning. He's a benchmark here now and the analysis is better overall. I don't get much sense of rugby community here yet though
