O’Mahony found the young Ireland fan Jennifer Malone in the Twickenham crowd on Saturday, before presenting her with his medal and letting her hoist the Six Nations trophy.

The moment was shared on social media by Jennifer’s sister, Rachel, and has been met with an overwhelming response.

Jennifer is a regular at Ireland training camps, paying the team a visit on Thursday as they prepared to take on England. British and Irish Lions star O’Mahony reportedly told Jennifer’s mother Donna that she received the medal because “She’s one of us”.
