As much as I’d like to agree with you - I feel England may be on for a statement win against Scotland this weekend. A drubbing.

Someone would have to have an absolute mare - but even then, the English bench is stacked.

I dont think they will TBH. Scotland fans ought to be careful what they wish for in that regard. Who would be his replacement? Can they get a quality coach in there to replace him? I think SRU will stick with him until RWC. Why? Because nothing has changed since RWC 23. If they weren’t willing to make a change then, which is when they should have in my opinion, why would they do it now 18 months out from another tournament. There are strong calls to replace him from fans, but fans have an overinflated view of what Scotland can realistically achieve. I dont think the SRU see it the same way.

Swain should have been a regular lock for the Wallabies. The incident with the pommie lowlife should not have stopped him. We have managed again to miss out on the development of a good lock, similar to what happened with Skelton.

Many rugby supporters act as if the game should be played without any aggression.

Yeah it’s easier in the 12 channel isn’t it? That’s where I see the best fit for the two rookies (12s Timoci and LF).

The little I saw of him in the TOP 14 many facets of a 13 where decidedly average. As you pointed out on the wing. His use in black is going to come down to how much a benefit they can get out of his strengths. But there is just so much class coming through he might find it tough.

Not sure if LF is destined for 13 - if he does want to play there, defence needs to be sharper, if I recall, he missed something like 7 tackles vs Scotland.

Instructive that Crusaders are playing Ennor at 13 for today’s game - real pity that he is also leaving for France at the end of the Season. He could have stayed on the field, could have made a real run for that 13 spot in the ABs - but alas, injuries got him every time he started to put together a good body of work.

Scotland did not go 6-2 - am I reading that right? Hmmm going to be a tough day if so - perhaps 20-30 point loss. Sounds horrid, but England humming while Scotland trying to find mojo with manifestly less raw power.

‘The 196cm lock is a threat at lineout time, and has solid footwork at the line to get his arms free for an offload with the ball in hand. Hannah had four tries in the Bunnings NPC competition in 2025 and made 106 carries in just 676 minutes of rugby.’

Hope you’re right about Jamie’s footwork and skillset, because 1.96 ain’t going to cut it as a test lock.

Yup, Reece won’t be included in any squads, sadly, just like Tele’a wasn’t.

Yeah I can see Ioane still there providing a defensive midfield option, but he certainly won’t be in the role Razor tried him out for, that will be Leicesters. Some of course might hope they are a straight swap in general, but if your wanting LF to be in midfield I’d say he has to push out ALB. Not the most encouraging to hear how Saders want to try and use him in the forwards.

Reece is off to France post Super, so he is gone and not sure about Ioane - might be back to 13, even though not the greatest Centre, very good defensively.

Tangitau, I think, is the one to watch. Looking at the pre-season games for Highlanders, he looks to have bulked up, hopefully without any loss of speed.

It would be a shame if Mark Mapletoft left the RFU given he’s just taken on a new role as head of development.

Nick Easter could be a good appointment though. Robertson would be a great appointment. If I owned a prem club I’d also be desperate to sign Matt Everard.
