All Blacks XV power past Uruguay as three game tour finishes

Jamie Joseph’s All Blacks XV have finished off their three game tour with a 45-21 victory over Uruguay in Beziers.

The Kiwi side had previously beat England A and the Barbarians in the weekends prior, winning all three of their games on the 2025 tour.

Highlanders halfback Folau Fakatava dotted down early for Joseph’s side, scooping the ball off the base of the ruck and powering past a couple of last ditch tackles by the defenders.

Chiefs flyer Etene Nanai-Seturo was the next to cross, receiving a nice offload down the right hand touchline to go in ten meters from the touchline.

Nanai-Seturo impressed over the course of the tour, with a man of the match performance in the first game against the Barbarians in London, before starring against Uruguay this morning.

Taranaki and Highlanders fullback Jacob Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens was another try-scorer for Joseph’s side, breaking through a couple of defenders and storming away to dot down under the posts.

Ratumaitavuki-Kneepkens has had a tough couple of years as he spent time on the sideline recovering from a serious neck injury during last year’s Ranfurly Shield challenge on October 6.

The All Blacks XV will head home with three wins from three games, beating England A, 31-14, and the Barbarians, 33-19.

We need to have the conversation. Coach- the current coach has lost 3 of his coaching team- why? The coach over the past 3 years was advised to go overseas to gain experience he chose to stay and cruise with crusaders- a team with excellent backing of their training programme, he had no experience except what was in his head. His arrogance and approach to the board meant a terrible finish for fozzie! Foz would have gone, but had there been an open application - Jamie Joseph and Brown combination may have been considered. Instead Brown went to SA and look at his touch in that team. We have the wrong coach, who picks for the wrong reasons and has tried to make the crusaders AB.

Agree he is trying to build the black Crusaders but is that a bad thing given the dominance of their structures against all comers? Others have said it can’t work against top teams because it is so reliant on a dominant set piece where they are either just as strong or better. My thinking is that it’s worth the effort - Henry transformed the ABs into a world force based on a strong set piece. We have to get there even if the performance against England showed we have along way to go.

Fozzie had a great finish.

JJ and TB were considered. TB pulled out of the other applicants teams in 2019, so I imagine he restricted himself to only JJs team again this time.

Don't you like the Crusaders? Would never have guessed.

Cohesive performances. Looked like they had played together for a long time. Imagine a match between them and the ABs now? I couldnt honestly say whod win.

How are there no highlights available for this match? Surely Sky Sport NZ would’ve been able to obtain the match footage?

You think it was filmed?

Sky NZ told me they did not pay for the rights to show this All Black XV game. Part of the renegotiation a with NZ Rugby.

But NZ Rugby didn't ensure it was available to fans elsewhere.

Perhaps World Rugby need to take over world rights and show on Rugby Pass.
